MPS Processor
Use the MPS Processor activity to create master production schedule (MPS) receipts to satisfy demands for MPS items. The MPS Processor generates MPS receipts for any demands due after the current date + the MPS Plan Fence. Use the Master Production Schedule form to create planned orders to satisfy demands due inside the MPS Plan Fence.
For unsatisfied demands due inside the plan fence, the system generates exception messages. Use exception messages for analyzing and controlling the items, dates, and the quantities of planned orders. You can make changes to these details before firming the MPS receipts into jobs or production schedules. You can view exception messages on the Planning Detail form, the Exceptions Report, or on the Master Planning Report. You can firm MPS receipts on the Master Production Schedule form.
If you are using the Material Planner Workbench, the MPS Processor activity will delete MPS records from the workbench. Also, the system will delete the items entered on this form from the workbench.
