Posting Service Order Transactions

Using the Service Order Transaction Posting form, you can post transactions in batches , and place them on the background queue. To place this utility on the background queue, you must first run a preview, then the background option is enabled from the actions menu.

Follow these steps to post a transaction on the Service Order Transaction Posting form:

  1. Specify the ranges of values for SRO lines, operations, and types; partners, operations, locations, transaction dates, warehouses, departments, and document numbers.
  2. Select the Transaction Types:
    • Material
    • Labor
    • Miscellaneous
    • Line Material
  3. Specify whether the transaction is planned, actual, or both.
    • Planned: A planned service order transaction is used to record a plan of the amount of material, labor, and miscellaneous transactions that are required for the SRO.
    • Actual: Actual transactions have been issued to a SRO.
    • Both
  4. Select the Bill Codes:
    • Contract
    • No Charge
    • Warranty
    • Recover
    • List
    • Custom
  5. Specify this information for generating the batch:
    • Always
    • Never
    • On Error
    • Order
  6. Optionally, click Select All or Deselect All to select or clear all the transactions in the grid.
  7. Select Commit and click Process to save the results in the database.
