Running the MPS Processor
The Master Production Schedule (MPS) Processor compares current jobs, production schedules, purchase orders, and MPS receipts against demands for an item, and then generates any exceptions and creates MPS receipts for demands due later than the current date + the MPS Plan Fence.
- Open the MPS Processor form.
- Enter the starting and ending planner code.
- Enter the starting and ending inventory item.
- Click to start the process.
After you run the MPS Processor, you can view the exception messages to identify any shortages. You can view exceptions from all inventory items by running the Exceptions Report or by viewing the Planning Detail form. Use the Master Production Schedule form to create MPS receipts to address unsatisfied demands due inside the MPS Plan Fence.
