Opportunities

Use this form to create and track sales opportunities for prospective customers (prospects) or actual customers. On this form you can set the estimated value of the opportunity, identify the reason it was won or lost, and view any estimate orders associated with the opportunity. This is useful for tracking the progress of the potential sale.

When you update an opportunity, any value in a related sales forecast opportunity (on the Sales Forecasts form) is also updated if the sales forecast has a status of Draft.

Use the General tab to enter the estimated value of the opportunity, indicate the percentage chance the opportunity will be won, set the projected completion date, and enter the reason the opportunity was won or lost.

The Estimates tab is display only, and shows information about order estimates associated with the opportunity. This information is taken from the Estimates form.

The data on the Estimate Projects tab comes from the Estimate Projects form. See the help on that form for details about these fields.

Use the Competitors tab to view competitor information. This information is taken from the Competitors form.

The fields on the Orders tab are all display-only. The data comes from the Customer Orders form. See the help on that form for detail about these fields.

The fields on the Tasks tab are all display-only. The data comes from the Opportunity Tasks form. See the help on that form for detail about these fields.

Most of the fields on the Team Members tab are display-only. The data comes from the Opportunity Member Cross References form. When records are saved on that form, you can see them here.
