IDO Aliases

Use the IDO Aliases form to redirect calls to IDOs.

In all requests to create an instance of an IDO, the system determines whether the ProgID for the IDO is an alias listed in the IDO Aliases form. If the ProgID is an alias, the system creates an instance of the IDO mapped to the alias in the form. If the ProgID is not an alias, the system creates an instance of the IDO named in the call.

In a previous version of this application, the ProgID prefix for CloudSuite Industrial-specific IDOs was changed from "SYMIX" to "SL." For backward compatibility, each IDO has an alias that uses the old prefix. This set of aliases ensures that calls in any customized forms or other objects that use the old prefix are redirected to the correct IDO.
