Using the Serial Numbers Form to Track Serialized Materials

1. On the Serial Numbers form, specify the item and serial number to track.
2. Select the Serial Source tab. The tab displays the root node of a tree.
3. Click on nodes to expand the information. The tree initially shows the source transaction of the serial/item. If that transaction is a job, the tree includes additional nodes for any serial/item materials in that job, as well as nodes for the source of those serial/items. If there are transactions in any nodes that do not contain a serial number, but contain a lot number, the node shows the source information for the lot.
4. Continue through the nodes until there are no more job sources, or job sources with serial and/or lot item materials.
