Adding a subcollection using the New Data Maintenance Wizard

When you add a subcollection as part of the New Data Maintenance Wizard process, the wizard automatically adds the "pages" required for the subcollection. Most of the fields and options on this page are the same as for the primary collection. An additional optional field allows you to assign a Subcollection Name that is different from the basic collection Name.

In addition, when you click Next to advance the wizard process, another subcollection-related page displays. You must use this page to provide the primary key and foreign key linkage information that the wizard needs to successfully create the form with the subcollection.

In the Primary Collection Property field, specify the property from the primary collection to use as the link property.

The wizard automatically displays the data type and primary key status of the selected property.
In the Sub Collection field, specify which subcollection is to be used to establish the link.
In the Subcollection Property field, specify the property from the subcollection to use as the link property.

The wizard automatically display the data type and primary key status of the selected property.
Click Add Link.

The wizard displays the Subcollection Linkage, properly formatted.
Click Next.

The wizard proceeds to the Finish page.
