Unlocking Forms
Unlocking an object effectively reverts it to the state it had before you checked it out.
To unlock a form, with or without its associated template or global objects:
- Open the Form Control form.
- In the Actions group box, select Unlock.
- Select the Forms tab.
- From the Run-time form name field, select the form you want to unlock.
- Verify that your user ID is shown in the Locked by user field.

The Global Objects Referenced from Form pane displays all the global objects associated with this form.
- Select one of these options:
- To unlock all associated global objects, click
Select
All.
Note: If you do not have all objects associated with a form checked out, this action selects only those objects that you do have checked out.
- To unlock only selected global objects, select
the objects you want to unlock, using the check boxes in the
Inc
column.
Note: If you try to select an object that you do not have checked out, the system generates a warning. The easiest way to avoid this is to click Select All. The system selects only the objects you have checked out. You can then clear the check boxes for any objects you do not want to unlock at that time.
- To unlock all associated global objects, click
Select
All.
Only one copy of each global object associated with this form Select Eliminate duplicate global references. All copies of a global object associated with this form Clear Eliminate duplicate global references. - In the Process options group box, click Execute Action.
- When prompted, click OK.
