Scheduling a Process to Run in the Background
- In a utility or activity form, set your selection criteria and task options.
- If your selection criteria include dates and you are scheduling the process to run periodically, you must increment the date.
- From the Actions menu, select Background.

In the
Frequency field of the
Background Queue form, select an interval to use
as a time unit in scheduling.
If you select Weekly, for example, you can subsequently specify that the process runs every third week.
To run a process one time only, select Daily.

Depending on the
Frequency setting, use the
appropriate tab to set times and dates based on the frequency.

Daily tab: To run the
process one time only, you must specify
Occurs > Once At.
To run the process at least once every day, you must specify Occurs > Every.
- Weekly tab: Specify the number of weeks in the interval, the day of the week on which to start the process, and the time of day.

Monthly tab: To run the
process on a specified date of each month, such as the 15th of each month,
select
Occurs > On Day.
To run the process on a specified day of the week, such as the first Tuesday of each month, select Occurs > On.

Daily tab: To run the
process one time only, you must specify
Occurs > Once At.

Click OK.
