Saving a list of customized objects

You can use Form Sync to generate and save a list of forms and objects that have been customized in a particular configuration. This can be especially useful when you are not sure whether you need to synchronize your forms database with a new vendor or development version of that database.

To generate and save a list of custom objects:

If you have not already done so, open the Configurations page and specify the Source or Target configuration for which you want to generate and save a list of custom objects.

Note: Form Sync saves the list in the Custom Objects grid, whether that list was generated from a Source or a Target configuration.
Access the Form Sync Utilities page:
- In the form version, click Utilities on the main page.
- In the stand-alone version, click the Utilities icon on the Toolbar.
Set filter criteria to retrieve the custom objects that you want to list.

Click Refresh List.
In the Custom Objects grid, the Include check box is selected for each object by default. Clear the check box for any object that you do not want to list.
Click the Save List tab.
In the form version only, specify whether you want to Save the file to disk or View the output in a display page.
For the File name and path, perform one of these actions:
- Use the ellipsis (...) button to locate, select, and name the file and path.
- Enter the path and file name manually, using standard Windows path formatting.
- Accept the default file and path specification.
Click Save.

Note: In the stand-alone version of Form Sync only: To open and view the list from the Utilities page, click the Open File button to the right of the ellipsis button. Form Sync uses whatever program (such as Excel) that you have set as the default program for comma-separated-values (*.csv) files.
