Generate Button

If preassigned serial numbers are required, specify the Generate Quantity of preassigned numbers and click Generate to display the list of preassigned numbers.

If new serial numbers are required for a transaction and the Generate Qty value is greater than 0, click Generate to generate the specified quantity of new serial numbers. These serial numbers will use any specified prefix.

If the transaction requires existing serial numbers, clicking Generate creates a blank entry in the Serials grid and starts Filter-in-Place mode. Enter any filtering criteria in the S/N field and click the Filter-in-Place button. The system returns the specified quantity of serial numbers with the appropriate status.

Each time you click Generate, the Generate Qty field is reset to 0.

This button is disabled when the Quantity on the Detail tab is 0.
