WILDCARD keyword

Applies to

All form-launching specifications, in specifications for list sources of the type IDO Method, in the data source for components that are bound to a subcollection (not subcollection property), and in the parms for validators of the type In Collection.

Syntax

WILDCARD( property=value )

Remarks

The result of this keyword is to append the property/operator/value specification to the end of the filter string specified with the FILTER keyword if the value contains a wildcard character.

This behavior is automatic for the current field, for combo boxes with IDO Method list sources, and for Find operations. You do not need to specify the WILDCARD keyword for the current component.
