Form Sync, Save List tab

This Form Sync Utilities tab contains these fields and options.

Fields and options Description/Comments
Output: Save/View The Save output option causes the output to be written to a CSV (comma-separated values) file on the local computer. In this case, a default location and filename are suggested in the Filename field. You can use the ellipsis (…) button to browse to a different location and/or provide a different filename.
Note: In the web client or in a partial trust situation, there is no ellipsis button. In these cases, you can specify a name for the output file in the Filename field. You can:
  • Specify a full path and filename on your local computer, for example: C:\output\MyFile
  • Specify only a filename, in which case, the system either prompts for a path or writes the file to the default download folder on the local computer.

Selecting Save output, then, writes the list values to the specified CSV file on the local computer.

The View output option displays the output on a form page. In this case, the Filename and ellipsis button are both disabled.

Filename This field displays the path and file name for the saved list of custom objects.
... (Browse) Click to select a different path and/or specify a different file name.
Note: This button is not available in the web client or in a partial trust situation.
Open (Folder icon) Click to open the saved file in a spreadsheet application.
Note: This option is not available in the web client or in a partial trust situation.
Save Click to save the contents of the Custom Objects grid in a comma-separated values (CSV) text file.
