Service Order Transaction Types Overview
Inventory Issue and Return
An inventory issue decreases inventory and increases the cost that is tracked on the SRO. An inventory return increases your inventory and decreases the cost that is tracked on the SRO.
Customer Shipment and Return
A customer shipment decreases your inventory and increases the cost that is tracked on the SRO. A customer return increases your inventory and decreases the cost that is tracked on the SRO. The customer shipment is also recognized by the packing slip routines and generates from this type of transaction.
Loaner Shipment and Return
The loaner shipment and loaner return are essentially a transfer of inventory from the stock warehouse to the loaner warehouse that is set up on the Service Parameters form.
A loaner shipment decreases inventory in the stocking warehouse and increases inventory in the loaner warehouse. A loaner return increases inventory in the stocking warehouse and decreases inventory in the loaner warehouse. The loaner shipment is also recognized by the packing slip routines and generates from this type of transaction.
The Loaner Shipment transaction is also recognized by the Service Order Outstanding Loaners Report.
Exchange Shipment and Return
An exchange shipment decreases inventory and increases the cost that is tracked on the SRO. An exchange return increases inventory and decreases the cost that is tracked on the SRO. The exchange shipment is also recognized by the packing slip routines and generates from this type of transaction.
The Exchange Shipment transaction is also recognized by the Service Order Outstanding Exchanges Report.
