Buyer Home - Navigator Tab
The Navigator tab on the Buyer Home form includes the fields and tabs described here. The majority of the information on these tabs is read-only.
Fields
Multi-Site Group: This field allows you to view data in all shared Multi-Site groups including the group logged into by the user. This field is required, and the default value comes from the Multi-Site Group identified on the Users form for the logged-in user. In order to see the correct data on the form, the sites in the group must all contain the same buyer on each site with the same id. Buyer IDs must be unique across sites, or incorrect data is displayed.
Buyer: Choose a buyer in the buyer field to filter the results by that buyer. If this field is cleared, all results are shown in the grid. This field does not apply to all tabs. See the help for each tab above to determine whether this field applies.
Tabs
Hot List: This tab displays items where the on-hand inventory is insufficient to cover demand prior to the selected cutoff date. If the Cutoff Date field is blank, all items where demand is greater than quantity on hand, or becomes greater than quantity on hand at some point in the future, are displayed, regardless of date. The date defaults to the current date. Choose a buyer from the Buyer field to limit the number of items by buyer. Leave the buyer field blank to return all items. When you click on an item in the grid on the left, it returns all planning detail rows associated with the item in the grid on the right. This collection contains data generated from either MRP or APS.
Transactions: This tab provides quick access to "Receipts", "Withdrawal/Return" or "All Types" buyer item material transactions. Use the check boxes at the top of the tab to filter for Receipts, Withdrawal/Return, or All Types. The items listed in the grid on the left are filtered by the buyer selected in the Buyer field. If the Buyer field is blank, all items are shown. The grid on the right displays a list of material transactions for the item selected in the grid on the left. The data shown in the grid on the right comes from the Material Transactions form.
Past Due: This tab provides an alert to the buyer of purchase order line items that are in danger of not being received on time. Use the Due Date field to filter by due date. Items shown have a due date on or before the date chosen. The default date is the current date. If the Due Date field is blank, all open unshipped items are displayed. Choose a buyer from the Buyer field to limit the number of items by buyer. Leave the buyer list blank to return all items. This data comes from Purchase Order Lines form or the Purchase Order Releases form.
Contracts: This tab provides quick access to vendor item pricing information. It lists buyer-related vendor contract data items. Choose a buyer from the Buyer field to limit the number of items in the grid by buyer. Leave the buyer list blank to return all items. This tab also shows costs, break quantity, and unit price for insurance, duty, freight, brokerage, and local freight. This data comes from the Vendor Item Pricing form.
Planned Purchases: This tab shows planned purchases that will at some point be firmed into purchase orders. This includes PLNs (planned purchases from APS or MRP), and MPS orders. It also includes existing Purchase Order Requisition line data. Use the Ending Release Date field to filter by ending release date. Items shown have an APS Planning start date on or before the date chosen. The default date is the current date. When Ending Release Date is left blank, all planning rows into the future are considered regardless of date. Items shown are purchased, non-configurable items only. Choose a buyer from the Buyer field to limit the number of items by buyer. Leave the buyer list blank to return all items. When you select an item from the grid on the left, the grid on the right is populated with the same data that appears on the Order Action report; planned purchases with a status of requested or approved.
Exceptions: This tab displays items with planning exceptions. The data displayed is similar to the Exceptions report. Choose a buyer from the Buyer field to limit the number of items by buyer. Leave the buyer list blank to return all items with exceptions. Select an item in the grid on the left to see the exception messages and related information in the grid on the right.
Payables: This tab shows the active A/P posted transaction detail data that exists for a selected vendor. Select a vendor in the grid on the left to see corresponding A/P posted transaction detail for that vendor in the grid on the right. The data shown in the grid on the right includes vouchers, adjustments, payments, and open transactions associated with the selected vendor. It does not include Commission or Non-AP transactions. Transaction amounts are shown in the transaction currency. Above the grid are several aging buckets that show what is due or late and the balance for the selected vendor. These amounts are shown in the vendor default currency. The aging bucket information is the same as when choosing from the A/P Posted Transactions Detail form.
Standard Cost Analysis: This tab shows standard costed items showing their standard costs as compared to current unit cost. This shows the impact to inventory value if you were to roll current cost to standard cost. The grid displays a list of items with a cost type of standard. This data comes from the Items and Item/Warehouse forms. Choose a buyer from the Buyer field to limit the number of items by buyer. Leave the buyer list blank to return all items.
Inventory Value: This tab shows the account balance for the current accounting period plus the previous three periods for the inventory material account and unit code combination associated with each unique warehouse/product code combination. The grid shows ledger period total information for inventory material accounts sorted by product code. For this tab to work properly, you must use sort method two.
